There is something very uncanny about humanoid monsters. They seem to scare people more than inhuman creatures, possibly because human viewers can see bits of themselves embedded into the creatures' bodies. Japanese artist Takahiro Komuro has demonstrated this fear of human-like monsters with his latest sculptures, all of which depict creatures that are almost human but differ in some way. Here is my suggestion for this halloween!
