David Szauder, a German digital artist, takes interest in the glitch phenomenon. Failed Memory, the name of the compilation of images, showcases photographs that are purposely altered. Precisely, the photograph’s flow is interrupted by the sudden ambiguity of lines and distortions occurring in certain parts of the subject’s body.

“Our brains store away images to retrieve them later, like files stored away on a hard drive. But when we go back and try to re-access those memories, we may find them to be corrupted in some way.”

Photographer Mark Nixon creates portraits of worn-out vintage teddy bears in the series Much Loved Bears. These nostalgic portraits immortalize the innocence of youth.

“When you see these teddy bears and bunnies with missing noses and undone stuffing, you can’t help but think back to childhood and its earliest companions who asked for nothing and gave a lot back.”

She is currently 15”, pretty pale but an incredibly warm and caring max/msp patch, that creates music from your thoughts in the form of written words and sentences. She is amazingly well connected speaking several languages with which she controls a number of mechanical machines build almost entirely out of scrap electronics.

D.O.R.T.H.E. is about re-cycling. Re-cycle words – turn them into music. Re-cycle electronics and turn them into instruments. Created by Lasse Munk and Søren Andreasen.
